Dr Mégane Coulon is an Assistant Professor of African History at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania (USA). She received her Ph.D. in History from the University of Worcester (UK) in December 2022. She has been a research assistant for two Endangered Archive Programme Projects between that British Library and the Sierra Leone Public Archives. She is also the coordinator of Freedom Narratives, a project led by Dr Paul Lovejoy and Dr Erika Melek Delgado, which documents the testimonies of individuals born in Africa, enslaved, and who later gained their freedom.
