As a partner of the International Research Training Group (IRTG), Walk With Web is supporting the Frontiers of Belonging initiative, which is pioneering a North-South partnership model bringing expertise together across borders to support six doctoral students in Canada, Ghana, and Cameroon. The program equips emerging scholars with critical skills in research, digital technologies, knowledge creation, and dissemination. Thus, ensuring that the next generation of researchers is empowered to lead in both locally and globally.
Between August 18th and 29th, 2025, the IRTG organised a training workshop for the participating doctoral students at the University of Ghana in Accra. During this workshop, our CEO, Kartikay Chadha (Doctoral Candidate and Sessional Lecturer, McGill University), led two training sessions on Digital Skills and Presentation Techniques.
Frontiers of Belonging is funded by a Partnership Development Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). The grant is
co-directed by Meredith Terretta (History, University of Ottawa),
Michael Okyerefo (Sociology, University of Ghana–Legon), Ernest Messina Mvogo (History/IR, CERDYM Research Lab, University of Douala), and Rose Ndengue (History, Glendon Campus, York University).
Through our involvement in this initiative, Walk With Web is delivering on its mission to contribute to advancing digital skills training, fostering equitable global partnerships, and building sustainable infrastructures that empower scholars and institutions to thrive in the digital age.
